01Minigurumi Goblin Pattern
{ } = Worked in the same st
Ear = ch 3, skip first, slst 1, sc 1
Nose = yo, insert and pull a loop through, yo and pull through 2 (leaving 2 loops on hook), ch 2, yo, insert and pull a loop through, yo and pull through 2, yo and pull through all.
[Starting in Green] Magic loop (leave long tail end) *Work around tail end until first ear
Rnd 1: sc 8 times in the magic loop (8)
Rnd 2: sc 3, {sc 1, ear, sc 1}, sc 1, nose, sc 1, {sc 1, ear, sc 1} (10)
Rnd 3: sc in each st, work around the ears so they’re on the outside, work into the BLO when you get to the nose (10)
Rnd 4: [sc 4, bump] 2 times (10)
Rnd 5: sc in each st (10)
Adding a face:
Add a mouth by using the original tail end. Pull through above the arm, across, and enter back in over the opposite arm. Work around this tail
end in your next Rnd to secure.
Add eyes on either side of the nose 1 st away (specifically sts 6 and 9 in Rnd 2).
Embroider on teeth or a tongue onto the mouth using a strand of White yarn. Work into the mouth yarn itself by splitting the yarn to make the teeth more secure. See video for detailed instructions.
Rnd 6: sc 5, bump, sc 3, bump (10)
Rnd 7: invdec 2, cut the yarn and pull through stopping early.
Stuff very slightly. Sew closed by weaving in and out of the FLO of all the sts around and pull tight. Hide end into the body.
Add a loin cloth by embroidering with brown yarn over the legs. I like to embroider 3 times between legs to add the main cloth, then using the two tail ends knotted around the back. See video for detailed instructions (33
:07).
